Valkyrie Crusade - An exciting phone game

Sooooooooooooooooooo who likes games? :) Well, this time around I'm going to introduce a game I found that proves to be quite interesting, challenging, and cute - all at the same time! For those who loves a pure-girl card game on your phone, Valkyrie Crusade is just the thing.

Now what's so special about the game? Well, one could say that it's really in-depth. You control everything. From the resources that will build up your city, to the soldiers that your hero card will carry (which acts like 'Health Points') - everything is under your control. So let's learn how to play! :)

Yes, you get seashells and more! Even a crab. But watch out for her snippers. She'll 'snip it off', a quote from her. IDK what that means though :P

Anyway, like I said you have a city of your own. From scratch, you get to build up your city. How? By collecting resources. Now resources is divided into 3 - gold, ether and iron. Each of them is important because you need a combo of resources to build and level up buildings. Also with resources, you can purchase soldiers so that your 'hero card' doesn't die. (If it dies though, don't worry, you still get it back at the end of the battle, only with 1 soldier)

Here's the place to recruit soldiers. Pretty good system if you ask me.

Now you must be eager to see what the cards look like. Well, cute, sexy, beautiful, lustful, spooky, drop-dead-gorgeous and indescribable girls are available. But before we go into pictures let's find out how the system works. Now, you start with a set of cards. From that set of cards, you hunt for new ones, getting cards along the way via chance or battle. Of course, the game has a system of card rarity, so the rarer the card, the harder it is to get, but higher the MAX attack/defense/soldiers.

You can fuse two of the same type of cards together to get a stronger version of the card. Some cards can be fused to up to 4 times, so you can have an even greater force! :)

Also, you start with a maximum of 3 cards in your battle team. You can later upgrade it so that you can have a maximum of 5 cards.

Time to battle!

So here's the battle screen. This is my 2nd team, and I'm leveling them up. You can see star-shaped icons right? Those are skill :D After each round, there's a set probability that your cards will unleash their skill. If they want to use a skill, then a star will appear on their card. It's up to you whether to initiate the skill now or later, depending on the situation.

I sure will take up that offer xD

Now to get a better picture of your card! :) See the blue icicle on the top left? It's the card element.
Basically there's 4 elements in this game: Ice, Fire, Light, and Dark. Ice and fire are strong against each other, while light and dark does the same. That means if you're an ice card attacking a fire card, you get bonus damage, but if it attacks you, you get extra damage too.

The 'R' beside the blue icicle is the rarity.
N: Normal
HN: High Normal
R: Rare
HR: High Rare
SR: Super Rare
HSR: High Super Rare
etc. :)

If you see closely you'll notice a silver star at the right side of the blue icicle. That's the amount of possible upgrades the card can have by fusing the card with another same card. If it's upgraded, the star will turn yellow, and if all the stars are filled, the 'R' card will turn to 'HR'.

What's good about upgrading cards is not only because you get better stats, but a slight change in the girl's image! :)

Right side of the image is the level, and bottom left is the cost of the card. Now you have a specified 'limit' that you will have to balance out. For higher ranking cards, the cost is more, so you will have to upgrade your limit (can be done by buying a structure) if you want to get nicer cards in your team.

Bottom right is the name, followed by the current amount of soldiers the card is carrying.

Are you blur yet? Good, either way, we're going to move on xD

Right side of the picture, under Udine

You can see 1 / 40. That's the current level / maximum level. For this card, the maximum level upgrades to level 50 if the card is upgraded to High Rare.

Attack, Defense and Soldiers depends on level. As you level up, all 3 of these goes up, so you will have an even more powerful card!

The rest of the picture is self-explainable :P

Ok, to cleanse your eyes from the impossibru-to-finish text, here's a little eye candy on the many girls VC offers!

(SPOILER ALERT)

(Yes, I have all of the cards I posted, + others)

Of course, they're other more sexier ones, but I'm scared that your keyboard will short circuit due to blood from your nose :P

Yoo hoo? Are you there? Ahh, came back from fantasy world I see :D

One more nice feature about the game is that your card has a 'friendship' system. If it reaches max friendship, that card will spam out its skills more, among other stuff. So treat your cards nicely! ;)

Besides cards, Alliances are also available! :) Let your friend join you in taking a very powerful boss called an 'Arch Witch' down. So rack up your friends, start an alliance (or apply for an active one like mine, Omnipotence) and mow down those Arch Witches for rare prizes and more!

Best part is that it's completely free! You can progress fully without paying! But of course, if you want more power... *ebil laugh*

And with this, I'm disconnecting... bzzt bzzeet

Ramadhan Special: Palace of the Golden Horses

Surprise surprise! Palace of the Golden Horses (PGH) invited me for the launching of their Iftar Ramadhan buffet, starting next month, throughout the month of Ramadhan at Carousel International Restaurant, in coorporation with Mines Wellness Hotel. Oh gosh. I must tell you how I miss Ramadhan food. I haven't had it since like, a century ago T_T

Anywho, the hotel was kind enough to invite small children from orphanages to the event as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). Others among me were the media, bloggers and invited guests.

Love their backdrop. Simple and clean, and guess what?
The 'crescent moon' you see is an actual food layout, photographed from above!

That mosque you see? It's actually made of cake and icing. O___O

Hmmm, I don't know who all the bigshots are xD But I know that
The dude on the far right is PGH's Operation Manager. Oh, and the
middle lady is the orphanage caretaker I think.

AND NOWWWWWWWW IT'S TIME FOR TEH FOODZ!
OH GLORIOUS FOOD.

Oh wait, before that they had a prayer of course.

He's from the orphanage

AND NOW FOR THE FOOD! I'll just let the pictures do the talking.

Sushi here... O.o sounds legit.

You'll never believe how big of a gearbox they gave me!

Howley sheet I can eat all of that

My bread, Roti John. xD

The chefs were sporting enough to help the children

With ghazal band performance!

I think he likes me. o_o

OK, that's all for today. But one thing's for sure - OMG. It was so tasty. I heard from the chefs that they will have 3 different menus rotating daily during Ramadhan, so people will always find something new if they come here. What dedication!

Restaurant Sushi King

I gotta tell you, some of the dishes here are surprisingly better than Sakae Sushi, and this is at Mines Shopping Mall as usual =_= Key locations are Palace of the Holden Horses and Mines Wellness Hotel since those are the only place I can think of. Hmmm, speaking of which I have yet to talk about food there. Maybe in the future then.

Besides tastier dishes, Sushi King also serves LESS EXPENSIVE FOOD! Which is awesome pawsome for my wallet. Here's what I ate:

Can't remember but I think it's called a 'Mix _______ bento' or something :P

Salmon is tasty and decent in portion and so is the fish/chicken karaage.

Things missing from the picture are two slices of takuan (Japanese pickles, info here) and a chunk of rice since I'm too damn starving to snap a picture before eating xD Or rather, tasted it and thought it is too big of an opportunity to post something delicious :D

Ina-chan says hi! :D

Restaurant Sakura Kristal

Now who the hell used such a gentle flower on a totally hard word, especially starting with "K" of all letters, to name a restaurant? Such foolishness I tell you, blasphemy! If it's Crystal I wouldn't mind but please, this name is damn icky. Such an 'unsmooth' restaurant name. Well, hope the food is good, right? :)

Now me and my department went to this restaurant which newly opened in Mines Shopping Mall. Probably landmarks around here are... Palace of the Golden Horses, Mines Wellness Hotel, Besraya Toll? Lol. I'll use those more frequently to let people get familiar with this place if they ever wanna come here.

Now let's go straight to the point. It was Tuesday and their set menu was drink, 2 fried dumplings, and a dish of the day. I chose Beef Fried Rice. Looks like a nice dish! Right? RIGHT?

Well they call it beef fried rice but you can't really see any beef in it. Just microscopic cubes that even bacteria find it hard to detect (ok, too exaggerated but yea xD). That 'black sauce' is misleading because it's actually black pepper. OK. So, does this mean it's BLACK PEPPER Fried Rice instead of BEEF Fried Rice? Well, I personally think so. They probably think cows poop black pepper seeds and think the poop is associated with beef since it came from a cow. =P

At any rate, the dish was... hmmm, interesting. The taste is acceptable, and if you're a black pepper lover you'll surely love this. But for the portion... Let's just say it'll fit you if you're on diet ;)

But still, it's good. But fail. And good at the same time. GAH. I'll have to explain I guess:

Rating:
Dish naming: FHAIL WHALE
Taste: 60% pass if you wanna eat beef but don't mind getting black pepper instead of beef.
Portion: So-so

P.S: The tomato and cucumber was lovely. Made a great couple.

On a side note! I came across this xD

The Oatmeal strikes again lol.

Adieu~!

Restaurant Thai Up!

So liek yezzerdai mah deparhtmenz zesided tweu ghoe thew Thai Up! (k I will cut the slang)

Now I still can't eat spicy stuff due to my stomach bacteria so... yea, going to something that is spelled 'Thai' is mindslapping. But no worries, I can always order something that isn't spicy... right? RIGHT? Right.

Introducing the high and almighty Thailand. Where Tom Yum, Tom Yam and other spicy slash (/) sour stuff lingers. But the lil ol' me is going to have Thai-Style American Fried Rice! Beat that. Here's a pic.

Well sorry for the low resolution pic but DOESN'T IT LOOK YUMMY? Let me tell you the details.

Ingredients:
1) A tad bit sour yet moist fried rice
2) 1 sunny side up egg
3) 2 cucumber slices
4) 2 tomato slices
5) 2 octopusausages (friends fingers not included but you may chew on them if you want)
6) 1 extra crispy drumstick (which you sadly can't play drums with)
7) 1 white plate (unless you're expecting it to be served on a table)

The price? An affordable... RM13.50++ ish. For me? It was worth it because it's a big portion. Much bigger than the set menu that my friends had, which had a small bowl of curry and plain white rice. Price is around RM9.90++ ish? Forgot (innocent face) xD

Till next time, folks! Ahieack!
