Cardcaptor Sakura

Never expected me to blog about this eh :P Yea, this anime series is ancient but it's one of the first animes I watched when I was a child, so as they say, don't forget your roots. (What has roots got to do with this xD)

Anyway as info, I was totally obsessed over Kinomoto Sakura (the main character) when I was young. I even printed a cute picture of her to paste it on my transparent file folder which I carry around, so I was famous in high-school for that hahaha (I only started watching anime when I moved to high-school).

I even have small figurines of her on the third floor of my house, feel free to visit :P

Enough about me, let's go into the anime. Before that, please be informed that there will be spoilers so reader discretion is advised lol.

This anime revolves around a young girl named Kinomoto Sakura, which one day opened an ancient book of spells which contained magical 'Clow Cards'. Clow was a famous magician which created powerful cards which he can use. Here's the card list :P

Anyway, the 'guardian' of the book appeared, Keroberus...

KONYANYACHIWA!
(Yea looks like a stuffed animal)

...and asked her to collect all of them again because she was the one responsible for scattering it. (Because all the cards in the book flew away magically like pew pew pew)

So there begins her journey to collect all of the cards. She met Syaoran, which wanted the cards for himself, but there begins a love story sooner or later lol.

The whole anime comprises 70 episodes with 3 different seasons. I basically memorised the lyrics of all 6 of the openings and endings of the anime, including 2 from the additional movies (They have 2 movies too for the record) PLUS a few character songs and Christmas songs (YES! They have CHRISTMAS SONGS and it's wonderful).

From the time spent of me being obsessed with her, you can probably guess what I'm gonna rate it. It's a very good magical-girl genre anime to watch if you're a child and who doesn't like magic and magic circles?

RELEASEEEEEEEE~!

Sneak peek into what Anime I'm gonna talk about next. Credits go to the artist! Thanks for merging two awesome Mahou Shojos (Magical Girls) together in one pic :)

 Starlighttttttttttttttttttttttt-------- releaseeeeeeeeee! Lol.

Restaurant Murni Discovery

Well I'm not going to talk about the location because Murni Discovery is scattered here and there.

Here's a LINK to see where's the nearest Murni Discovery to you.

Anyway, this place is awesome! Ok, where to start...

First thing up is their portion. Be sure to bring a friend along if you're going to order certain dishes on their menu, for example their Mee Raja. I seriously laughed (nah I'm not that bad) at the poor, unsuspecting lady at the nearby table as the plate was brought to her table. Her face was literally saying 'wtfisthismountain'. I'll try it and see if I can gorge it down the next time I go there :3 But the dish I ate was Soft Shell Crab Fried Rice! :) It's RM15, which is DEFINITELY affordable for the portion they're about to slap me with.

By the way, I've already eaten a portion of it if it looks small :)

Crabby!

So how did it taste? Exquisitely good, especially the crab. The portion? A crabload! They gave me 3 pieces of fist-sized soft shell crab, an almost 1 1/2 bowls of fried rice (laced with many crab sticks, squid slices and prawns), and french fries (which was awesomely crispy). For dipping sauce I had black pepper and chilli. Even me, for a heavy eater, was dreading to finish the whole plate. I gave up when I reached them fries :P I gave half of em to my friend.

For light eaters you can always opt for their flying bread (Roti Canai hahaha), unleavened flatbread (Chapati), or their kandar rice which you can self-service and take as per your gastronomical needs. If you're having kandar, be sure to have their pandan roast chicken. It's drumstick-lickin-awesome.

A thick concoction of sirap bandung or milk + rose syrup. Now that's what I call quality!

It's an overall 'quality discount' shop if I may call it. The restaurant serves heavy meals at a light price. That means more fill for the tummy, and less wings from your wallet/purse! :) Awesomesausageness!

"C... can I have some?"
